Most of my artworks are related to nature and the environment. I
use acrylic paint sometimes mixed with modeling paste or other
material to add texture and substance. Organic shapes and forms
applied in vivid colors and brushstrokes reflect my feelings and
emotions in an abstract expressionistic way. I find it challenging
and intriguing to combine found, common objects and discarded
materials into unrelated, enigmatic assemblages. The recycled
objects promote a dialog between nature and man-made materials.
The use of unexpected associations of images and materials create
tension and movement between opposing elements, which evoke a
certain curiosity and ambiguity. My works should stimulate ones
mind and let the viewer form an individual, personal
interpretation and opinion. In this manner it will make the viewer
an artist as well. Listings: Who’s Who in American Art, Who’s Who
in the East, International Who’s Who of Professional and Business
Women. |
