The artists' advertisement is Tax Deductible: The Internal
Revenue Service allows professional artists to deduct the
costs of promoting work, including print advertisements in
MOT art books and catalogs as business-related expenses.
Professional artists are usually independent contractors,
not employees. A self-employed artist may deduct any expense
that is directly related to the art activity such us
business travel, local travel expenses, agent fees, studio
expenses, art gallery rents, long-term property, supplies,
art supplies, dues, fees to enter juries shows, education,
subscriptions, legal and professional services, insurance,
meals - virtually everything you spend money on to promote
yourself as an artist is deductible including advertising
and listings in art publications, photos, brochures, videos,
and websites including Internet connection costs.
I would be thrilled to have your work on board and
look forward to a successful collaboration.
