I pursue no specific direction in the sense of a style.
The versatility of my work can be attributed largely to my refusal to
study only one style or medium of art. I believe in art that is bold
and kinetic. I begin a painting with no definite preconceptions, but
simply an impulse, a subliminal thought about color or texture, an
unarticulated desire. And an almost breathless excitement about
the idea of doing painting. The creative process I begin with a
layering, then smearing and scrapping. The end result is a vibrant
painting with amazing textures and colors.
