“The Great Stories” are part of core human experience
and never change except in the most superficial ways.
Thesettings might be modified depending on who’s
telling it, the characters might have different names, but
fundamentally,it’s still the same story.
This statement above changed my life and turned my way
to professional art life.
I was born in Istanbul in 1964. A very famous Turkish
painter Bedri Rahmi Eyuboglu was my first inspiration
and had my first exhibition when I was 4 yers old.
Due to my father’s job, we travelled a lot with my family
and this helped me to understand and observe different
cultures. I performed on stage, play several musical
instruments, sang in quires for long years.
At the same time, I ended up studying business and
finance and worked professionally until 2003. In the
meantime, I never left dealing with music and art. I
started sculpting in 1996 with a great teacher Irfan
Korkmazlar.
While working with him, I did 4 solo exhibitions. Then I
started my own studio ISD-ART in Istanbul and from 2006
on, I am teaching sculpting and have 45 students/artists
working with me.
I have an art gallery in Bodrum, Turkey. I have been
awarded by curators Salvatore and Francesco Russo
as UNICEF Artist, Art Ambassador, Universal Artist for
stylistic search for our participation in the art world I
think art is a very powerful means of communication.
Essentially it exists in the mind of the creator and if
enriched by imaginative and technical skills, it is the most
tasteful way of passing the feeling from one to another.
