Description: Andrea Amelung creates her artworks by
using different oxidation techniques. She works with iron,
copper, bronze, silver, sand, coffee powder, salt, glass
particles, vinegar and with various oxidation solutions.
Very often she exposes her works to the weather and then
she attentively follows the slow patination and the gentle
development of the rust and its traces of corrosion. The
resulting colors depend on the metal used and the solution
with which she works.
