                                                              After having explored many figurative subjects, Antonella Quacchia,
                                                              artist of Italian origins but de facto citizen of the world, approaches
                                                              Abstract Expressionism to satisfy her need to manifest on the canvas,
                                                              in a spontaneous manner and without executive rules other than her
                                                              own, all the cultural and emotional baggage that she has accumulated
                                                              during her life through the encounter with many different people and
                                                              places. Her point of observation of reality is inclusive; the wisdom
                                                              acquired by observing the diversity of ways in which everyone can live
                                                              everyday life, is expressed in her artwork through contrast of light and
                                                              shadow, in alternation between earthy and dusty tones and patches
                                                              of light rendered with white, as to invite the observer into letting
                                                              memories and emotions freely flow. The attitude toward the Color
                                                              Field emerges strongly in her artworks that appear like landscapes
                                                              of fields, of endless plains where in the lower half the earthy tones
                                                              represent the practical, rational, concrete sense of living, while in
                                                              the upper half she lets the sharp, barely shaded but fundamentally
                                                              intense chromatic hue prevail, as to symbolize memories and feelings
                                                              that constitute everyone’s essence.  Since 2017, Antonella Quacchia
                                                              has participated in many int'l group exhibitions and solo shows. Her
                                                              artworks are currently included in renowned art publications and are
                                                              part of collections in Austria, France, Italy, Switzerland, and Germany.
