Was born in Saint-Petersburg and brought up in a n artistic family:
my father is a theatre artist and my mother is an actress. My family
had been moving a lot until 1987, when we eventually settled
in Voronezh. In this city I finished school and graduated from
Voronezh Art College and Voronezh State Pedagogical University.
After graduating from the University I had been working as a
graphic designer, a puppet mechanic and a sculptor in the puppet
theatre “Shut” (jester) for 10 years. After leaving the theatre I
changed several positions. Now I work as a teacher in “Nomos”
college, the design department. In am also one of the creators and
teachers of an art-studio “Matitsa”. I have taken part in 20 regional,
interregional, All-Russia exhibitions. I had been 6 solo-exhibitions
in Russia. From the 2020 I took part in 15 online-exhibitions in USA,
Canada, Italy, Swiss, Spain and Czech Republic.
Works belong to private collections in Russia, Germany and Spain. I
have won the first prize in a competition for the design of a plaque
devoted to a puppet theatre director V.A.Volkhovsky. The plaque is
represented on the front of the theatre in Chelyabinsk. I currently
work on paintings, mainly in portrait and landscape genres. I am
engaged in sculpture and puppet creation for theatrical and circus
plays. I am especially interested in the genre of portrait: a person’s
face is like a reflection of their character, mood, personality and
inner world. The main aim of the portrait is to show a leaving
character, not simply to show the similarity. As for the inspiration
for a landscape, it’s a beauty of nature and an old architecture.
Generally speaking, simple things, which we observe every day
not paying much attention to, might inspire an artist. I work in a
realistic manner. Try not to be complacent: any success is only an
impulse for further development and new aims achievement.
