Luana Stebule was born in Lithuania in 1962 and received formal
education in art techniques and styles at A. Martinaitis Art School and
Academy of Art. However, the artist considers spirituality, uniquity
and power to be the most essential elements of the creation process,
which come from the unified fields of consciousness. The artist gets
inspired by various sources, both external and internal, such as travels,
books, nature, music, art, sensibility, intuition, and meditations. The
artist uses different medias and techniques to express their artistic
vision, such as oil, acrylic, mixed media, collages, watercolours, oil
pastels, etc. The artist then paints with oil colours to form a jazz of the
visual performance. The artist has also been inspired by impressionism,
pointillism, and the rare type of orchids and houses in the shape of
shoes in the last decade, creating about 50 oil paintings and 70 mixed
technique artworks. The artist likes to stylize and reshape forms of
nature by simplifying them to achieve a specific expression and to
show the inner and the spirit of the object. Some of the artworks have
elements of surrealism as well. The artist never sticks with one stylistic
manner or technique for a long time, but tries to express themselves
in different ways. From 2020 onwards, the artist’s style changed. The
artist is now aiming at the resemblance, observing the nature and
objects and transferring them into artworks by signs. The majority of
the artworks are multi-layered, some paintings combine versatility and
minimalism. The artist likes to integrate calm tones with contrasting
saturated hues. The artist often revises older paintings and works on
nuances and nicety. The artist follows the motto of Leonardo da Vinci:
“Art is never finished only abandoned”
