Maria Teresa Guala studied at the Albertina Academy of Fine
Arts of Turin with the lead of Prof. Scroppo. Due to her work
as a translator with important industries, she neglected her
artistic activity for some time, but continued to participate in
important exhibitions such as Gallery Micrò Turin, Promotrice
Belle Arti of Turin, Fiat cultural group, etc., obtaining
important recognition for her artistic activity. She has also
had exhibitions abroad in cities such as London, Brussels,
Hamburg, New York, Innsbruck, and in Italy in Venice,
         Palermo, Padua, Piacenza, Lucca, etc.
Maria Teresa Guala’s art is characterized by an intimate balance
between line and color. Her pictorial emotions are driven by
abstraction and spirituality, depth and denunciation of living.
Her figuration generates a spontaneous expressionism of signs
suspended between topicality and archaism. The forms inspired
by Outsider Art evoke mysterious entities transfigured into
instinctive aesthetic devices. Enigmas of sign, with a primordial
character, evoke a cultured two-dimensional execution of generating synthetic and vibrant sensitive sequences.
