It's always a pleasure to pay proper artistic homage to the season of
the earth's awakening - spring. The flower with all its delicate elegance
is the absolute protagonist in the works of Erna Klaus, a painter with a
distinctive style that perfectly balances formal synthesis and chromatic
richness: the soaring poppies and the supple water lilies stand out from
the others and their stems seem born from a calibrated, dripping and
convincing graphic stroke, the refined amaryllis almost turn into a dull
and ideal fireworks. It is easy to be touched by such works because
they touch the heart with grace and sincerity.

The works of Erna Klaus take on a double meaning: they are paintings
but also memories; the artist in fact uses painting and materials that
are directly inspired by an event or a lived experience and therefore are
configured as lyrical evocations imbued with emotions and colors.
