My name is Florina-Maria Weidmann and I am a Romance as French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Romanian, and Catalan.
philologist. This means that I study the languages, literatures, I am living and working in Karlsruhe, Germany, where I explore
and cultures of the regions that speak a Romance language, such the connections between language and literature, as well as the
historical and linguistic aspects of the Romance languages.
For me, art is aesthetic freedom. It is a way of expressing myself
creatively and communicating with others through different media.
                                                              My inspiration comes from storytelling.
I think stories are powerful tools to convey emotions, ideas, and
values. I also think there are limits to storytelling and right at the
point where the words fail, the pictures take over the narration.
That is why I use visual art as a complement to verbal art.
Many of my pictures are shown on my website: www.florina-
weidmann.de. There you can find examples of my paintings,
drawings, collages, and digital art. My style is eclectic and
experimental. I like to mix different techniques and materials to
create original and surprising effects. I also like to play with colors,
shapes, and textures to evoke different moods and atmospheres.
My goal as an artist is to share my vision of the world with others
and to invite them to reflect on their own experiences and
perspectives. I hope that my art can inspire curiosity, wonder, and
joy in those who see it.
