The exhibition features nearly 150 works from public
and private collections around the world, including
paintings, drawings, prints, textiles, and photographs.
It also includes a catalogue with essays by Enrique
Juncosa, Robert Lubar Messeri, Teresa Montaner,
William Jeffett, and an interview with the artist by
Georges Raillard. The exhibition is organized by the
Guggenheim Museum Bilbao in collaboration with
the Fundació Joan Miró in Barcelona and the Centre
Pompidou in Paris. The exhibition aims to reveal
the complexity and diversity of Miró’s artistic vision
during a crucial period in his career and in European
history. It shows how Miró responded to the social and
political upheavals of his time with a creative freedom
that transcended stylistic boundaries and artistic
conventions. It also highlights how Miró experimented
with different media and techniques, such as
         collage, frottage, engraving, lithography, ceramics,
and tapestry, expanding the possibilities of artistic
         expression.
